Haylee Brunson decided a long time ago that she wanted to donate her hair for childhood cancer patients and that day finally arrived. On Wednesday, January 2, she went to Moon Lilly’s in Blakely and let Cecily Giannars cut 10 inches off her long blonde locks.

Haylee’s hair has only been trimmed in her 12 years and never really cut.

She donated her hair to CWHL, Children with Hair Loss. CHWL provides human hair replacements to children facing medically related hair loss, such as cancer and burns.

Haylee is the 12-yearold daughter of Robert and Michelle Brunson. She attends Miller County Middle School, where she is a seventh grader.

Haylee said she hopes when her friends see what she has done that maybe they will donate too.

Her mother, Michelle, was really nervous about the ordeal. She said she prayed so hard on the way to the salon that Haylee would change her mind, but is glad she chose to donate.
