Prayers for the School

People gather to pray for the new school year. People gather to pray for the new school year. On Saturday August 4, approximately 40 people gathered at the Miller County Elementary/Middle/ High School to walk around the campus and pray for the new school year, students, faculty, and staff. Rev. Cory Thomas, pastor of Flat Creek Baptist Church, welcomed everyone and then called on Rev. Scott Stanfill, pastor of Colquitt United Methodist Church, to offer an opening prayer. All present then traveled all throughout the exterior of the school’s campus to offer up prayers and petitions to God to bless it in the upcoming year. Approximately five-six different church congregations were represented. This is the third year this event has taken place and thanks is given to all that participated. Keep praying for our schools!
