City of Colquitt Featured on Small Town Podcast

Mayor Matt Seale and Fire Chief Craig Tully Mayor Matt Seale and Fire Chief Craig Tully In addition to being the Mayor of Ocilla, GA, I have started a new project called Small Town Podcast that highlights small towns that are often overshadowed by bigger cities. The podcast is sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association in support of its member cities, a majority of which have populations of less than 10,000. In each regular episode, I travel to a small town and interview a local official in that town. The interview starts out as biographical about the person I am interviewing, and then we transition to talking about the small town where they serve. This gives the audience an opportunity to see the personalities of local officials in small towns and then hear about some of the things that this particular small town has to offer.

The most recent episode of Small Town Podcast features the City of Colquitt, Georgia, through an interview with Chief Craig Tully.

In the episode, we discuss Chief Tully growing up in Colquitt and focus on his role in the formation and successful building up of the current City-County Volunteer Fire Department. We explore how the efforts of groups like the Fire Department and the Arts Council have made Colquitt what it is today and why it is such a great small town.
