The Colquitt Garden Club met on May 8 at Karen and Owen Tabb’s pond house, “The Lily Pad” for our annual spring salad luncheon. Barbara Wilkin, president, read a poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Jo Bush said the blessing over the meal.

What a luscious spread the ladies dished up! From salads to decadent desserts, these ladies know how to “bring it on” when it comes to good food. It must be “the Georgia atmosphere.” As usual Karen outdid herself in southern hospitality with decorations and accommodations for us. Good job, Karen and Owen.

We enjoyed the meal and fellowship with each other. Some participated in exchanging plants to keep those memories alive.

This will be our last activity until September 11, 2018, with time off to enjoy the summer.

Those attending were Tina Brooks, Jo Bush, Diane Bush, Mary Fudge, Lola Godfrey, Sherry Henley, Joy Jinks, Peggy LaGuardia, Betty Miller, Cheryl Newberry, Susan Pettus, Stella Phillips, Lynn Strickland, Iva Tabb, Karen Tabb, Barbara Wilkin and Suzie Wilkin.
