Miss Kimbrel to Wed Mr. Lovin


Cody James Lovin and Kate Alden Kimbrel Cody James Lovin and Kate Alden Kimbrel Ms. Kimberly Kimbrel and Jay Kimbrel of Albany are pleased to announced the engagement of their daughter, Kate Alden Kimbrel, to Cody James Lovin, son of Bruce and Vicki Lovin, of Greensboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dick and Raymetta Stowers of Brandon, FL, Chandler and Kathy Bennett of Colquitt, and G.J. Kimbrel of Attapulgus. Her great-grandparents are Kathleen and the late Henry E. Cook and the late Wiley and J.O. Newberry.

Kate has a sister, Callie, a sophomore at UGA, and a brother, Jack, a junior at Deerfield-Windsor in Albany.

She is a magna cum laude graduate in speech pathology from UGA and will be pursuing her graduate degree after the wedding. She is currently employed at Classic City Church in Athens as the assistant to the pastor and young life coordinator in Madison.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Tom and Linda Smith of Athens and Henry and the late Ellen Jean Lovin of Conyers.

Cody has a sister, Katie, and brother-in-law, Brantley Gee, and a late brother, Craig.

He is a graduate of North Georgia College with a BS in business administration. He is employed as a supervisor for Cal-Maine in Lake Wales, FL, where the couple will reside.

The wedding is planned for May 19, 2018, at Copey Creek in Clarkesville, GA.
