Summer Reading Program

The Summer Reading Program is coming soon! Starting May 14, come to the library to sign up and receive your reading log. For each 15 minutes you read, place a sticker on your reading log, and each log is 12.5 hours of reading. Show your first complete reading log to receive a certificate. Place your name on the wall, so everybody who visits will know you filled up your log! Any child who completed one log and turns it in is invited to the grand prize drawing and to take a photo for the newspaper on July 19. The top 10 readers’ names will be listed in the newspaper. Learn more at swgrl.org/ summer or by calling the library at 229-758-3131.

New Books at the Library

Come check out the new books we have for you at the Miller County – James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library! After Anna by Lisa Scottoline, A Nantucket Wedding by Nancy Thayer, and The Sixth Day by Catherine Coulter and J.T. Ellison are just a few of the new books that have just arrived. Come get these and more at the library today!

Toddler Time

Come to the library for Toddler Time on April 19 at 10 a.m.! Join us for stories, songs, and crafts. Toddler Time is held at the library on the third Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. This is a great opportunity to make your child enthusiastic about reading and the library by sharing fun stories.
