The First Sports Banquet
I know this grandpa is biased, but I just received this photo from my daughter, Donna Toole. They live in Canton, which is about an hour north of Atlanta. Mason has been in the Toole family since his birth. He is a fine young man, 14, who is attending Creekview High School near Canton, their home.
I received this photo from Donna, "Enjoyed going to Mason's first high school sports banquet. He loved being a part of the Creekview ninth grade basketball team. I'm so proud of Mason and his dedication."
We have had lots of sportsmen and sportswomen in our family, but being biased, I have never seen a young person love sports, all sports, like this young man does, and he is good at what he tries to do. He is a good son and has one of the best mothers that he could have chosen.
We South Georgia Tooles miss a lot by these North Georgia Tooles living up in the mountains. Just wish we were closer and could be more a part of their lives.
Mason is 14. I have covered probably 40 or 50 sports banquets, but wish we could have been at this one, Mason's first. Maybe next time.
Congratulations, Mason, and Donna. We are proud you all are ours, even if you do live so far away.
Mason is the grandson of Betty Jo and Terry Toole of Colquitt.
