Ivey Pope places fifth for FFAAward

Ivey Pope placed fifth in the nation for her FFA Poultry Production Proficiency Award. Ivey Pope placed fifth in the nation for her FFA Poultry Production Proficiency Award. Miller County FFA member, Ivey Pope was recently awarded National Gold for her Poultry Production Proficiency Award. This ranking is equivalent to fifth in the nation. Ivey had won first in the state this past April at the Georgia state FFA convention in Macon.

The Proficiency Award Program recognizes students for outstanding Supervised Agriculture Experience programs. The Proficiency Award program is designed to encourage students to strengthen their Supervised Agriculture Experience program. It also provides teachers a motivational tool and incentive program.

Ivey’s Poultry Production Proficiency focuses on working at her grandfather’s chicken farm where her responsibilities include feeding, harvesting eggs, and showing chickens. She has won many awards for exhibiting chickens and has been very successful in raising high quality chickens.

The Miller County FFA Chapter would like to congratulate Ivey Pope for her proficiency award accomplishment.
