Second annual Crush Cancer Run a success

This year’s race was dedicated to Beta Sigma Phi member, Ashlie Henley.

Approximately 50 5K and one mile fun run runners gathered early Saturday morning to participate in this event.

Awards were presented to the overall male and female runners, as well as each age division.

The overall 5K male and female winners were Greg Waddell of Bainbridge and Debbie Whittmer of Colquitt. Female award winners were 14 & under: 1st- Saylor Odom, 2nd- Emmie Fenn, 3rd-Abby Chapman, 4th- Emma Chapman; 15- 19: 1st- Lynleigh Kaye Hall, 2nd- Sarah Whitfield; 20-25: 1st-Beth Cannon, 2nd-Mindi Merritt, 3rd- Ashley Hathorn; 25-29: 1st- Misti Middleton, 2nd-Tiffany Cook, 3rd- Kimberly Mazza; 30- 39: 1st- Kelley Hatton, 2nd- Niki Conley, 3rd- Brittany Kimbrel; 40 & over: 1st-Debbie Whittmer, 2nd- Nan Stuart, 3rd-Michelle Cutchens.

Male award winners were 20- 29: 1st- Jordan Kirkland, 2nd- Russ Worsley; 30- 39: 1st Phillip Wolbourn, 2nd-Jim Fenn, 3rd-Keith Middleton; 40- 49: 1st- Greg Waddell, 2nd-Bill Swofford, 3rd- Kevin Hall; 50 & over: 1st- Gary Cato.

The overall male fun run winner was Bryce Clenney. Laney Hall and Hayle Brown tied as the overall female fun run winners. All one mile fun run participants received participation medals.
