It is hard to believe that September is already here. We are all looking forward to some cooler weather and are looking for some fresh boiled peanuts.

We have enjoyed our activities over the past week. Sunday afternoon South Mount Zion visited with us sharing in song and encouraging words.

Monday morning was spent in Bible study. This is always a good time for me. Since I have started this study, it is always amazing the thoughts and questions they share with each other. If you stop and listen, you can learn lots from them. We had fun playing badminton. (we did it our way, with a balloon and fly flaps). This will keep you moving... that is for sure.

Tuesday and Thursday mornings we played bingo. Tuesday afternoon we had our monthly resident council meeting.

Wednesday morning members from First Baptist came to share with us. Even though the temperature was hot outside, that did not stop us from enjoying our coffee and doughnuts. Afterwards we had some friendly competition going on with checkers and dominoes. Wednesday evening Kingdom Corp came to share in Bible study.

We enjoyed fresh fruit in the afternoon on Thursday.

Friday morning Brother Mike Mounts came to be with us. We like singing the old songs and having him speak to us. Friday afternoon we started having readings from the Miller County Library again.

During the month of September we will be having a Butter Bean Auction. If you would like to make donations to this, please give me a call. Also to any of the farmers that would let residents that have never seen peanuts being picked come and watch while you pick, this would be great fun for them.

We are looking for some green peanuts for the residents to pick off the vines. If you would be willing to share with us let me know, so we can set something up. You may call my office at 758-4235. If I am not in, please leave a message. Thank you for all of your help.
