On August 8, 2010, the descendants of William Gilbert and Callie Spooner Kirkland got together for the 49th consecutive year for a family reunion. Those attending all had a great time visiting with some they had not seen since last year. They looked and laughed at old photos of 48 past reunions and, as always, enjoyed the food brought from all over by those attending.

They welcomed the new babies, two this year, Kaylee Anne daughter of B. J. and Andrea Josey, and Kaylea Anne, daughter of Ryan and Leah Mayne and said goodbye to some that were loved for so long, Mrs. Martha Bush Kirkland, Billy Bush, Carey Kirkland, and Pam Connell.

There were 49 attending this year; they were as follows: from Colquitt - Lanola Bush Kirkland, Joel and Karen Josey, B. J., Andrea, Alex and Kaylee Josey, Terrell and Joan Kirkland, Haward and Delores Kirkland, Kalvin and Abby Kirkland, Woodie Kirkland, Ray and Georgia Grimsley, Benjamin, Jara and Thomas Miller, Bert, Crystal and Harlieanne Williams; from Donalsonville - Harmon and Martha Nell Jernigan, Calvin and Margaret Arnold; from Bainbridge - Angie, Mack, Mandy, Macheana and Cross Lane, Stephen Eakin, Susan and Larry Redmon, Garrett R. Middleton, Vivian Bush, Vance Bush; from Lake Park - Charles Kirkland; from Valdosta - Harold and Anita Williams; from Ashford, Alabama - David and Emmie Daniels, Cosby and Brenda Kirkland; from Mathews, Alabama - Aubrey Grimsley; from Tallahassee, Florida - George Avant, George Avant, Jr., Ryan, Leah and Kaylea Mayne.
