Mary Weaver, age 71, of Bainbridge passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010, at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.

A memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Grubbs officiating.

Mary was born July 19, 1939, in Bainbridge, the daughter of James Gary Thompson and Mary Idell Wright Thompson. A graduate of West Bainbridge High School, she retired from Coats & Clark and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Johnny Ray Widner and Michael DeWayne Weaver, and a grandson, Michael Weaver.

Survivors include her brother, James (Joyce) Thompson, Brinson; sisters, Barbara (Henry) Blanchard, Bainbridge, Thelma Cotele Hartzo, Albany; four granddaughters, Hannah Weaver, Brandy Weaver, Jessica Widner, and Joni Hosmer, all of Tallahassee, FL; her greatgrandson, Hendrix Hosmer of Tallahassee, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
