Mrs. Lydia Sheffield, age 94, of Colquitt died Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at Miller County Hospital.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Thompson, Rev. Fletcher Sheffield, and Rev. Daniel Dean officiating. Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Robert J. Reeves, Tommy Manning, Jimmy Manning, David Manning, Chuck Sheffield, and Jamie Vincent.

Mrs. Sheffield was a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church and was active with the Senior Citizens Center. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Marjorie (John) Reeves, Cumming, Shirley (Joe) Manning, Pine Mountain; two sons, Felix (Beverly) Sheffield Jr, Gainseville, Whit (Sue) Sheffield, Colquitt; two sisters, Josie Sheffield, Colquitt, Rebecca Willis, Omega; 10 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.

Mrs. Sheffield was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Sheffield, Sr.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
