Kayln Lane, was the 1994 valedictorian of Miller County High School and a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia honors program. She graduated with a double major in biology and cellular biology, and is one of only five physicians in Georgia to be board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Lane is certified in general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and forensic psychiatry.
She is also a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and completed a residency in general psychiatry and additional subspecialty training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Kentucky School of Medicine, where she served as chief resident in her final year.
After leaving Kentucky School of Medicine, in Lexington, Dr. Lane completed a forensic psychiatry fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta.
She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.
Kayln is married to Vic McNease and is the daughter of Harriet and Ronnie Joe Lane of Miller County.
Kayln and Vic live in Athens, where she joined Athens Behavioral Medicine.
