Governor Perdue celebrates state’s valedictorians

Governor Sonny Perdue and First Lady Mary Perdue were proud to host a reception for more than 350 Georgia high school valedictorians at the Governor’s Mansion.

“Mary and I were pleased to host Georgia’s best and brightest students and celebrate their great accomplishments,” said Governor Perdue. “These valedictorians have worked hard and positioned themselves for great success, and our state will benefit from their contributions for generations.”

Students from the north Georgia region and metro Atlanta attended an afternoon session at the Governor’s Mansion, and students from middle and south Georgia attended a morning session.

Will is the son of Tim and Bonnie Martin of Bainbridge and will begin college this fall as a freshman at Atlanta Metropolitan College.
