Vacation Reading
Program Certificates
All Vacation Reading Program certificates are currently being distributed to all eligible Miller County students. If your child is home-schooled, under age 4 and not enrolled in a Pre-K program, or attends school outside of Miller County and participated in the Vacation Reading Program, please visit the Miller County – James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library to pick up your child’s certificate beginning Thursday, August 19, 2010. Not sure if your child is eligible to receive a Vacation Reading Program certificate? Please call the library at 229.758.3131 to inquire if your child received a certificate.
Reading is for
Everyone Reading is not only for sighted individuals; it is for everyone. The Bainbridge Subregional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped provides books and magazines on cassette tapes for those who cannot hold, handle, or see well enough to read materials printed by conventional methods due to a temporary or permanent handicap. The Subregional Library serves 16 counties in Southwest Georgia.
