Miller County holds show cattle clinic
Exibitors, instructor and sponsor ends the show setting up one of the cows used in the clinic.
On July 29 – 31, seven Miller County cattle exhibitors participated in a show cattle clinic instructed by Wes Stover of Binger, Ok.
Mr. Stover, an ag. education teacher of nearly 30 years in Oklahoma, has 35 years experience in fitting and showing cattle. During the three day clinic, these youngsters learned skills in showmanship, daily care, feeding & management, clipping, and fitting. At the conclusion of the clinic, participants competed in a showmanship and fitting competition and were awarded prizes for their efforts. These nice prizes were sponsored by Alf’s Farm & Garden of Donalsonville and Southern Wind Ranch of Jakin.
Although tested by the extreme heat that was encountered during the clinic, these exhibitors worked hard and made it to the end.
The show team would like to thank all of the parents and other volunteers who helped make this event successful.
Those who participated in the clinic were Garison Clenney, Preston Clenney, Tyner Cobb, Will Henry, Haley McGowan, Ridge Strickland, and Sydney Thomas.
