INCIDENT REPORTS

Burglary On July 26, 2010 Officer Lonnie Wade was dispatched to 395 E. Bush St. in reference to a burglary. Upon the officer’s arrival, he spoke to the complainant, Frank Killingsworth who stated that when he arrived at the field house he noticed the door was opened a little. When he walked closer, he noticed the door had been kicked in. Killingsworth stated that when he went into the building, he noticed a VHS player and a mega phone missing. Killingsworth stated that the last time anyone was in the building was on July 21 around 9:00 p.m.

Statements were taken and the case is ongoing.

Larceny

On July 28, 2010, Officer Scott Lawson was dispatched to 264 Washington Street in reference to someone going into a vehicle. When the officer arrived, he spoke with the complainant, Angela Ahmad, who told him someone had entered her 2008 Ford Explorer.

She told the officer she was awakened from her sleep around 5:00 a.m. to a car door closing but did not see anything at this time. When Ahmad started to leave later in the morning, she noticed her music CDs were lying on the ground. After checking her pocketbook, which was in the vehicle, she discovered $150.00 was missing from it.

The investigation was then turned over to Inv. Kirkland.

Suspended License

On July 27, 2010, Officer Scott Cleveland was on patrol on Martin Luther King Jr. St. and 4th St. when he noticed a Jeep Wrangler with loud music.

Officer Cleveland initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver, Trent L. Richardson of a Donalsonville address, stated he did not have a license due to them being suspended.

Richardson was placed under arrest for driving on suspended license and loud music.

Public Drunk

On July 31, 2010, Officer Scott Cleveland was dispatched to Grow’s Trailer Park in reference to a subject trying to fight. Upon arrival, the officer noticed a Hispanic male jumping at people in an aggressive manner with what appeared to be a beer bottle. Leobardo Padilla-Banda was arrested for public drunk.

Driving Under Influence

On July 30, 2010, Officer Scott Cleveland was on patrol when he noticed a 1993 Sentra speeding on Crawford St. A traffic stop was made on the vehicle. When the officer approached the vehicle, he noticed a strong smell of alcohol on the subject. The subject also had a six-year-old female in the vehicle.

Phillip Dykes of a Colquitt address was arrested for DUI, DUI child endangerment and speeding.

Damage to Property

On August 1, 2010, Officer Lonnie Wade was dispatched to the Fun House on Martin Luther King Jr. St. in reference to damage to property. Upon his arrival, he spoke with the complainant, Krystal Mitchell, who stated she got in her vehicle and when she started to back up she heard her back rear window shatter. Mitchell got out of her vehicle and noticed the damage that was done with an unknown object. Pictures and statements were taken, and the case is ongoing.
