Nursing Home News
Just a little update on what is going on around Miller Nursing Home. We have been trying to keep cool from the heat and stay busy with activities.
Over the past few weeks we have been very active. We have enjoyed having all of our special guests as well as our regular people who come to visit with us.
As you all know, things would not be the same if we did not have bingo, and bingo is what we have had.
We have enjoyed having Mt. Zion Fellowship, The Joy Lighters, Our Guitar Singers, Oak Grove M.B., Colquitt Free Will Baptist and Mother’s Home coming and leading in our services.
This past week we had our monthly birthday party. The ladies from Macedonia FWB Church were the hosts for the party this month. There are five residents celebrating birthdays. Everyone enjoyed, homemade pound cake, ice cream, cheese curls, and punch. Each resident having a birthday received a special gift.
Even though it may be hot outside, it is never too hot for coffee according to our residents. We have enjoyed having our coffee shop time and look forward to having it every week. We like having time to sit around the table and catch up with the news.
Mrs. Jane Wiggins has been to read from Grandma’s Attic. The stories from the past bring back memories for us as we remember time we spent at grandma’s house as well as the times we have spent with our grandchildren.
We are still looking for anyone that might be willing to come and teach Sunday School on the first, third, and fifth Sunday mornings. We also need televisions if anyone has old or new working sets that you would like to donate. If you are able to help out with any of these things, please give me a call at 758-4235.
We thank everyone who has visited, and we look forward to seeing more of you in the upcoming days.
