The Glenn Grow family from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, visited Colquitt recently. Glenn’s father, David Grow, grew up on South Cuthbert Street, and his grandfather, Bill Grow, owned the Jitney Jungle grocery store on the square. His grandmother, Elva Grow, was an educator and the first woman superintendent of schools in Miller County. Glenn wanted his children to see Colquitt and Spring Creek where he spent many happy childhood hours.
