The 14 and Under Region Champion Baseball Team traveled across the state on July 7 to Baxley to participate in the state championship tournament.

Miller County faced McIntosh. Miller crossed home plate first scoring 6 in the first two innings. The fourth inning saw Miller score 3 while McIntosh got on the scoreboard with 2 runs. Miller’s bats exploded and scored 8 runs in the sixth and final inning. McIntosh managed to score 3. Miller defeated McIntosh by the final score of 17 to 5.

Miller faced Screvens on Wednesday afternoon. Miller scored 1 run in the first while Screvens scored 2. Miller faced great pitching and did not score again until the sixth inning, scoring 1 run. Screvens scored runs throughout the game. Miller was defeated 9-2.

Miller played again later that evening against Jeff Davis. Once again Miller faced great pitching, but this time Miller only scored 1 run. Jeff Davis scored 4.
