Stuart Brooks and Brett Harris Caren Harris is proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter, Brett Harris of Blakely, to Stuart Brooks of Colquitt.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late James Parker and the late Hazel Jones Parker, and the late Walter Ray Harris and Eloise Roger Harris, all of Blakely.

Dr. Harris is a 2000 graduate of Early County High School, a 2005 graduate of Columbus State University and a 2009 graduate of Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She is employed at Payton Animal Hospital.

The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Brooks of Colquitt. He is the grandson of Lamar and Mary Jones of Damascus, and Gwendolyn Brooks and the late Lamar Brooks of Colquitt.

Mr. Brooks is a 1999 graduate of Southwest Georgia Academy and a 2010 graduate of Park University in Parkville, MO. He is employed at the Donalsonville Police Department and is a member of the Miller County Fire Department.

A wedding is planned for Saturday, October 16, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. at Still Pond Vineyard and Winery in Arlington.
