Nursing Home News
July is here, and we are going strong with activities at Miller Nursing Home.
Monday morning we enjoyed a Bible study on “Freedom is Never Free.” That afternoon we enjoyed ice cold watermelon.
Tuesday morning we enjoyed round one of bingo, and the afternoon was spent moving to the music.
Members from Colquitt First Baptist came to give our church service on Wednesday morning. No matter how hot the temperature may be outside residents still enjoy that hot cup of coffee during coffee shop on Wednesday afternoons. They enjoy having the time to sit around the tables sharing with their friends. Wednesday evening Kingdom Corps came for their monthly Bible Study.
Thursday morning was round two of bingo. Evby eryone enjoyed an ice cream sandwich from the
“Snacks on Wheels” in the afternoon.
We enjoyed watching “The Parish Family” on video Friday morning. We had an extra time of bingo this week. Friday afternoon we spiced things up with some afternoon bingo. Things are a little different in the afternoons, and you have to be on your toes to win. As the residents would tell you, you can never have too much bingo.
We are still in need of Sunday School teachers, and anyone who would be willing to come on Friday mornings and Saturday afternoons. If you or your group would be interested in coming, please give me a call at 758-4235. Thank you to everyone who came by to visit, and we hope that each of you will make plans to drop by and see us.
