Nursing Home News
It is hard to believe that June is almost gone and that July is just around the corner.
We have had a week packed with activities.
Monday we started our week off with Bible study. It is a wonderful time when residents come in and participate during the discussion. I have enjoyed leading the study over the past few months. Monday afternoon we celebrated the start of summer by everyone making their own ice cream dessert.
Tuesday morning was round one of bingo.
On Wednesday morning we enjoyed a sing-along time as well as a devotion led by Colquitt First Baptist. Mrs. Jane Wiggins made coconut cake for the residents for our afternoon activity.
Round two of bingo was Thursday morning, and Mrs. Jane was back with us for the afternoon to read from Grandma’s Attic.
We were “Singing with the Saints” on Friday morning, and we ended our week with a friendly game of bean bag toss.
We enjoyed having everyone visit over the past week. We are still in need of Sunday School teachers, televisions, and people to come and be with us during the weekends. If there is any way you can help with any of this, please give me a call at 758-4235. We hope that each of you will make plans to come and see us over the next few weeks.
