Drug bust nets two arrests
Off-the-shelf products such as these can do lots of damage if concocted just right. The danger, other than being an illegal drug, is that it can explode when being cooked.
On June 18, 2010, at approximately 8:00 p.m., agents from the Pataula Drug Task Force and deputies with the Miller County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 244 Mayhaw Road, Colquitt. During the execution of the search warrant, Mark Grimes, a white male, approximately 40 years of age, of 244 Mayhaw Road, Colquitt, and Angie Simpson Keller, a white female, approximately 30 years of age, of 2682 Lake Virginia Drive, Donalsonville, were arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
Agents from the drug task force were conducting an investigation of Grimes and 244 Mayhaw Road when they received information from an investigator from the Bainbridge Public Safety that Grimes and Keller had obtained ingredients necessary to “cook meth.”
During the search of the residence, agents located items and chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Pataula Drug Task Force would like to remind the public of the extreme danger and health risk involved in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. When some of the chemicals used to “cook meth” are mixed together, an explosion or deadly fumes could occur.
If anyone has any information involving this case or any other illegal drug information, please contact the Pataula Drug Task Force at (229) 758- 3100 or your local law enforcement.
Grimes and Keller are both being held at the Miller County Jail. Grimes is currently on probation, and a probation hold was placed on him. Keller was out on bond from Decatur County for meth-related charges.
