Experience the Magic of Arthur Atsma!

Join us at the Miller County – James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. for “The Magic of Arthur Atsma!” This is an island themed magic show where water disappears, water stories are shared, and amazing magic tricks involving liquid will have the audience screaming. Experience an incredible sleight of hand comedy magic show that includes lots of audience interaction, encouragement to read, and is full of good summer fun! This program is sponsored by Three Notch EMC, Birdsong Peanuts, and CGM Construction.

Arthur Atsma is an award-winning sleight of hand artist, entertainer, educator, and motivational speaker who has traveled all over the United States captivating audiences for more than 20 years with his unique shows and programs. He has won numerous awards including the Atlanta Close-Up Magician of the Year in 2006. Arthur has a bachelor of science degree in music from Western Oregon University, with a focus on composition and performance. A father to six children, Arthur understands today's youth and is always looking for new ways to captivate imaginations for the learning and creative process.

This program is a part of the 2010 Vacation Reading Program, “Make a Splash – READ”.

Sing, Play, and Shake It at Your Library!

Hey, teens! Come to the Miller County – James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library on Monday, June 21, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. for “Sing It, Play It, Shake It!” Become the next singing sensation by playing SingStar on the PlayStation 2! Rock out to Guitar Hero World Tour on Wii! Shake it by playing Dance Dance Revolution on PlayStation 2 and Just Dance on Wii! This program is designed for ages 10 – 18 and is a part of the 2010 Teen Vacation Reading Program, “Make Waves at Your Library”.

Time for Toddlers at your Library!

Join us on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. at the Miller County – James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library for Toddler Time! Bring your toddler for fun with library staff as we read stories, sing songs, play games, and much more! This program is designed for children ages 1 – 4 and is a part of the 2010 Vacation Reading Program, “Make a Splash – READ”.
