Pvt. Justin Chandler returns to Afghanistan. Memorial Day is a time to remember those men and women who have defended and continue to defend our country. It is also a time for family gatherings, picnics, and barbecues.

As this Memorial Day approaches, it brings with it a whole new meaning for our family.

Justin Chandler, a son, a brother, a nephew, a grandson, and now a soldier defending freedom for our country, will return to Germany on Memorial Day weekend before being deployed to Afghanistan.

Although we never imagined Justin being on this journey, we are very proud of his bravery. Justin has worked very hard and is ready to defend his country.

We pray for his safety while he is so far away from us.

When you gather with your families this Memorial Day weekend, please take a moment to remember those men and women who have gone on before us. But also, remember those brave men and women who continue to fight the fight so that we can be free. Remember Memorial Day Service next Monday.
