Truck vs motorcycle crash

Motorcycle driver seriously injured in accident. Motorcycle driver seriously injured in accident. A vehicle vs motorcycle accident was reported to E911, with injuries, Monday, May 17, at 5:29 p.m. EMS with ambulance, Fire and Rescue teams and law enforcement officers were dispatched to the scene.

The accident occurred on Third Street, just off U.S. Hwy. 27/Crawford St., as Adam T. Worsley, 20, of 901 Hwy 45 S., had turned off of Crawford St. onto 3rd St. travelling south in his 2002 GMC Sierra pickup truck.

Danny Kyle Roberts, 20, of 254 E. Grow St. was travelling north on 3rd St. on his 2009 Honda CMX220C motorcycle.

The accident report is still incomplete, but according to witnesses, the pickup truck driver was turning left into the Pic- N-Save parking lot hitting the motorcycle, knocking the bike and the driver into the parking lot.

The driver of the pickup truck stated that he just didn't see the motorcycle as he turned.

EMTs and recue team works to help injured driver. EMTs and recue team works to help injured driver. Kyle Roberts was knocked off of the bike onto the pavement. EMTs worked with him at the scene and transported him to the Miller County Hospital emergency room. He was then transported to Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL.

Roberts remains in critical condition in ICU with a possible damaged spleen and other injuries.

Worsley was not injured in the accident.

Colquitt Police officer, Scott Cleveland, is the investigating officer.

Unofficially, the cause of the accident is due to Worsley's failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
