A large crowd of family and friends were on hand to help cut the ribbon of Colquitt’s newest business last Wednesday afternoon, May 12.

The Sweet Tooth Bakery located on Crawford Street, right across from Pic N Sav, is owned and operated by Bebe Richardson.

Martiele Pickle, chairman of the Colquitt/Miller County Chamber of Commerce, welcomed everyone to the ribbon cutting and thanked Bebe for opening her business in Colquitt. “I’ve already tried a lot of what she has to offer, and all of it is delicious,” commented Pickle. The chairman offered the chamber’s help in any way needed to make her business a success.

Clyde Jinks, speaking on behalf of the Miller County Commissioners, also expressed his thanks for the owner and wished her well. He, too, offered the county’s help in any way.

Chairman of the Community Development Cor- poration, Debra Atkinson, and Joy Jinks, from the Downtown Development Authority also thanked the owner for bringing such a fine establishment to Colquitt.

The owner then thanked the crowd for coming out and being with her on such an important day to her. Several of Bebe’s friends then performed a song to honor Bebe in her new business.

The bakery is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Bebe offers fresh doughnuts, doughnut holes, apple turnovers, cinnamon rolls, danishes, cream horns, cakes and pies baked daily.

She also caters for any occasion - birthdays, graduation, weddings, anniversaries or any other party.

“We invite you to come in and try some of our delicious bakery items or talk to us about your next party,” said Bebe.
