Powell has played softball all four years of high school and is ready for “the next big thing” as she moves on to play in college.

With her .328 batting average and 28 hits and 14 RBIs this past season, she hopes to be a great addition to the Andrew team.

Powell started at third base the past two years but also played second base during her high school career.

“I love the sport, and I’m so excited about being able to continue to play. It’s a great honor, and I’m sure it’s going to be a lot of fun,” said Powell.

Danielle is the daughter of Dale and Dana Powell of Colquitt. She is the granddaughter of Danny and Gayle Spence, James and Wynette Powell of Colquitt and Nita Edmonds of Iron City.
