The vehicle travelled approximately 300 yards before striking a tree with the front right side of the auto. The auto burst into flames, but the driver was thrown out or crawled out before the auto completely burned.

According to witnesses at the scene, the driver was burned over a large portion of her body, but walked several hundred feet to a house and collapsed in the doorway.

Savanna was the daughter of Bubba and Debbie Smith of Iron City.

Savanna was employed by Little Pirates Daycare in Colquitt.
