100th Anniversary of Scouting- -Calling all Eagle Scouts to the National Mayhaw Festival Parade!
This year marks the 100th anniversary of Boy Scouts of America. The Scouting movement is composed of 2.8 million young people between the ages of 7 and 20 and 1.1 million volunteers in more than 290 local councils throughout the United States and its territories. The Boy Scouts of America is America’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training.
Pack 316 of Colquitt has been chosen as the Grand Marshal for the 2010 National Mayhaw Festival Parade in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Scouting in America. Pack 316, sponsored by the Colquitt United Methodist Church, is inviting all of the Choctaw District scouts to come join them in the parade to celebrate this honor.
Local Eagle Scouts will also be helping to carry the colors for the parade. Pack 316 is inviting all Eagle Scouts to come join the celebration.
