Mr. Dennis Eugene Burton, age 68, of Donalsonville died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, in Cedar Springs.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 27, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Evans- Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Interment followed at Cedar Spring Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the US Air Force.

Mr. Burton was born in Cedar Spring on May 17, 1941, to the late Laurence Pittman and Lillian Lorene Plymal Burton. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. After retiring from the US Air Force, he worked as a mechanic.

He is survived by one son, Travis Burton, Donalsonville; two daughters, Denise (Gerry) McKendry, Powhatan, VA, Karen Tim) Turner, Ofallon, MS; and two grandchildren, Joshua and Matthew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence Pittman and Lillian Lorene Plymal Burton; his wife, Lorraine Lord Burton; and one brother William Burton.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
