Jerry and Lisa McLendon, of Brinson and Buster and Lynda Bell of Climax announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Lyn Bell of Bainbridge, Georgia, to Brian Wirt Hayes of Kosciusko, Mississippi.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Milton Scott and the late Louise Scott of Brinson and William and Emma Jean Bell of Climax.

Miss Bell is a graduate of Bainbridge High School and graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of science degree majoring in political science. She is currently employed with the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension in Decatur County as the 4-H/youth development agent.

The groom-elect is the son of Wirt and Lois Hayes of Lexington, Mississippi. The groom-elect is the grandson the Rev. Robert Valentine and the late Catherine Valentine of Lexington, Mississippi, and Bobbie Hayes and the late Wirt Hayes, of Eupora, Mississippi.

Mr. Hayes is a graduate of East Holmes Academy and graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor of science degree majoring in agronomy. He is currently the owner of Hayes Agricultural Services, Inc.

The wedding is planned for April 24, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Bainbridge. A reception will immediately follow. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and reception.
