SGA’s Literary Team wins state championship title

Earning first place wins in individual competitions were Marlena Collins in U.S. extemporaneous speaking, and Ben Burkett and Danielle Powell in duo interpretation.

Students who placed second were Parker Adams in spelling; Maggie Bridges in girl’s solo; Chip Sanders in dramatic interpretation; and Maggie Bridges, Brooke Hornsby, and Danielle Powell in girls’ trio.

Michaelyn Newberry won fourth in humorous interpretation.

Coaches are Debbie Sloan, Sherri Newberry, Anngene Gibbs, and Henrinel Middleton.
