INCIDENT REPORTS

Vehicle Accident

On March 4, Marcus L. Bullard was backing out of a driveway and hit Melba Latisha Burr’s vehicle as it was passing by south bounded. No injuries reported.

Damage to Property

On March 16, Rebecca George stated a vehicle backed out of the yard and struck her vehicle that was parked across the street on the side of the road. George advised she did not know who was driving the vehicle that struck hers, but described the suspect vehicle as a silver or gray Toyota Camry with tinted windows. George’s vehicle was struck on the rear driver door, the damage was minor but visible due to a small dent. A patrol of the area was made, but at the time of this incident the suspect vehicle or its driver had not been located.

Terroristic Threats/Intimidation

On March 14th, Temeka Burney advised she was going to burn down Johnnie Mae Huntley’s House on Fourth Street. Burney also advised that she dashed gasoline on the dog but was not able to light him on fire. According to Burney she was going to do this to get back at

Lanoris Boyd because he did not want to be with her anymore. Warrants were taken on Temeka Burney, and the subject was arrested.

On March 17, Marcus Shepard stated that a Micheal Tyrone Roberts had cut two of his tires on his vehicle. Shepard also stated that there were scratches all the way around the car including the initials M. R. scratched into the paint. Shepard and Jones stated that they went to walk out of the house and saw Roberts take off away from the car. Sgt. Wade was advised of the situation and began looking for the subject. Shepard stated that earlier that afternoon that Robert’s was arguing with a subject over 15 dollars, and Baker stated that he had given the money to Shepard. When Roberts approached Shepard about the money, Shepard advised that he would get him back and he would know who did it. At this time officer searched the surrounding area for the subject. Shepard called back shortly after and advised that Roberts was back at the residence with a bat and knife. Officers responded and were advised that they were headed up MLK Jr. Street at this time officers came behind Roberts. He turned on Moore Street and began pedaling through the yard while in front of Officer Cleveland, Roberts threw down a red in color pocket knife with a spider on it just before turning behind the trailer where officers placed Roberts under arrest. After all evidence was collected, Roberts was transported to the jail where he was booked on the charge of Damage to Property in second degree.

Marijuana Possession

On March 17, Clifford Edward Discalo was stopped. Discalo told Officer Chris Medina that he didn’t have his license on him. Discalo advised that his license was out of Virginia. The dispatcher ran his name and date of birth to get the status of Discalo’s license. The dispatcher advised that Discalo’s license was suspended and that he had warrants for his arrest issued out of Virginia. Discalo was placed under arrest for driving on a suspended license. Discalo was asked if there was anything in the vehicle that Officer Medina needed to know about. Discalo advised that there wasn’t anything that he was aware of and that Officer Medina could search the vehicle if he wanted to. Upon searching the vehicle, Officer Medina found a small bag of what appeared to be marijuana in the passenger floorboard. Officer Medina the asked the dispatcher to contact the owner of the vehicle to see what the status of the vehicle was. The dispatcher made contact, and the owner, Dorothy Kapplman, advised that the car was taken from a mechanic’s shop approximately one month prior to the date of this report. Kapplman advised that her son reported the car as stolen, but the Police Department could, not do a report due to a family issue. Upon searching Discalo, Officer Medina found a checkbook belonging to John Sterling Lewis. Discalo was taken to the Miller County Jail where he was booked and warrants are pending.

Harassment

On March 14, Brea Charnelle Ditzel advised me that a male subject came up to her and got in her face and made comments to her that she did not appreciate. Ditzel stated that he told her several times that her man did not have to know about them and she should talk to him more. Ditzel stated that he made several lewd comments. At this time all Ditzel’s information was gathered, and the other party to the situation was attempted to be located. Sgt. Lonnie Wade made contact with the other party and was advised that the subject stated he did not make any lewd comments to Ditzel, and she continued to talk to him until they both had checked out at the store and left. At this time this subject was advised of what had been said and advised just not to make contact with Ditzel.
