Nursing Home News
Crafts, games, singing, and parties are just a few of the activities we have had this past week.
Sunday morning we started with Sunday School, and the afternoon was spent with Colquitt UMC.
Monday morning we enjoyed playing checkers, cards, tic tac toe, dominoes and other games during game time. Monday afternoon residents enjoyed making a green clover flower button to wear on Wednesday for St. Patrick’s Day.
Tuesday and Thursday mornings we had a good time playing bingo. Tuesday afternoon ladies enjoyed having spa day and having their nails painted.
Members from Colquitt First Baptist came to have our church service on Wednesday morning. We had our monthly birthday party on Wednesday afternoon. This month the party was hosted by Flat Creek Baptist Church. There are six residents celebrating a birthday this month. We enjoyed having cake, cheese curls, and punch served at the party. Everyone celebrating a birthday received a gift.
We also had “Looking for a Pot of Gold” on Wednesday. This gave residents a chance to look for the pot of gold and receive a gift for finding it. This kept everyone on the lookout.
Thursday afternoon was popcorn and movie time, and that night we all enjoyed our monthly evening sing.
James Judkins came to share some encouraging words with us on Friday morning. We had our coffee club on Friday afternoon.
As you can see, it has been another week packed full of exciting activities. Thanks to everyone who took part in our week last week and for those who came to visit.
