MC FFA Alumni Attains Milestone
Kevin Calhoun presents Brooke Widner her lifetime FFA Alumni membership.
The Miller County FFA Alumni Association recently reached a milestone by attaining 100 life members. This achievement provides the opportunity to award an annual scholarship to attend the Washington Leadership Conference to a student from our MCHS FFA chapter.
Brooke Widner, an outstanding Miller County FFA member, was the official 100th person to become a Life Member of the FFA Alumni group. Brooke has been an outstanding FFA member with special emphasis in swine proficiencies (production, placement and entrepreneurship), winning state and national honors. Brook presently attends Northeastern Oklahoma A & M in Miami, Oklahoma, studying animal science. She plans to transfer to UGA her junior year to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine.
The Washington Leader Conference provides the opportunity for a high school FFA student to experience government at the national level, to tour historical places in our nation’s capitol, and to meet outstanding elected and appointed officials in Washington D.C.
