Two arrested in drug bust
Some of the evidence taken from the bust
On March 5, 2010, agents from the Pataula Drug Task Force, along with investigators from the Colquitt Police Department, and the Miller County Sheriff’s Office arrested Terry Leon Williams, black male, approximately 35 years of age, for trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of controlled substance (prescription pills), and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Williams’ brother, Lee Anthony Gilbert, black male, approximately 43 years of age, was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
The investigation began with a tip received by the Colquitt Police Department and turned over to the Pataula Drug Task Force. After further investigation by the agents, a search warrant was obtained for Williams, his vehicle, and his residence located at 114 Peace Valley Lane in Colquitt. When the above mentioned agencies served the search warrant, a large quantity of suspected cocaine, marijuana, and pills were located. Also located were numerous plastic baggies commonly used to package illegal drugs, U.S. currency, digital scales, and a 9 mm handgun. The illegal drugs would have had a street value of approximately $11,700.00. Both Williams and Gilbert were transported to the Miller County Jail.
