The first Sunday in March was really a blessing in my life. My granddaughter took me to church at New Salem Free Will Baptist Church. The pastor, Rev. Jordan Arline was filled with the Holy Ghost. He preached as if it was his last time.

After service, New Salem was on the program at Williams’ Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Damascus. Did not go up there, but I hope they had a good time.

Thank God for daughters. My daughter sent me my dinner after church. I had just got ready to warm up left-overs. Thanks, Gwen!

Checked on my neighbor, Mrs. Clara Toliver, after church. She was up, able to fix her own meal. I visited with her for awhile, then went home to await my usual call from my son, Rudy.

Those who have loved ones buried a Rocky Cemetery, please let’s get together. It takes money to do things. You can’t get somebody to work if you are not prepared to pay. There have been times when we could get it done on credit. But credit is out of style now. It is pay as you go. So help me to keep a dollar, too. When the Lord calls me home, then you all will feel the pinch.

Mrs. Rachel Crankfield spent some time in the hospital in Donalsonville Hospital last week. We are hoping for her to be able to come home soon.

My son decided that he would make my day. I was sitting thinking of his call when the door opened, and there he stood. It was a good surprise. He finished my day. I have so much to be thankful for.
