News from Crooked Oak Golf Course
The MCHS Pirate Baseball Fund-raiser was successful this past Saturday. Due to the generosity of the community, the team raised over $2,000 for expenses. First place went to the team of Jay Hathorn, Lance Eubanks, Vic Hathorn and Will Moseley with a score of 57. Second place went to the team of Ronald Whitaker, Hugh Franklin, Eddie Whitaker and George Williams with a score of 58. Third place went to the team of Keith Middleton, Brock Middleton, Carroll Middleton and Gaylon Harrell with a score of 59.
The weekly summer dogfights begin Thursday,
March 18, at 5:00. Dogfights are open to any member or member’s guest. There is a $5.00 first time for the summer fee; then the golfer pays an entry fee of $7.00 and golf fees. The format is a 9 hole points game (1 point for bogey, 2 points for par and 4 points for birdie) with cash prizes for team (two person blind draw) winners. Please sign up to play at least 30 minutes before the event by calling the golf shop at 758-9200.
