Nursing Home News

by Suzanne Griffin

Residents at Miller Nursing Home enjoyed their regular activities this past week along with a few extras. Sunday morning Mr. Charles Thorne was here to give our Sunday School lesson, and members from Kimbrel’s Chapel came to share that afternoon. Monday morning Ms. Linnie Gibson gave our Bible study, and Mrs. Jane Wiggins made strawberry cake for all of the residents. A big thank you goes to Miss Jane for all the many things she does for us each week. Mt. Zion Fellowship came to share on Monday night. Tuesday morning we started with bingo, and the afternoon was spent with the Temple Praise Band singing for us. Wednesday morning members from Colquitt First Baptist were here for our church service. Wednesday afternoon we played unwrap it!! We had several lucky people who ended up with a prize. Thursday morning was time again for bingo. The Residents’ Council had its monthly meeting on Thursday afternoon. Friday morning we enjoyed listening to the Gather’s and having a few residents share with us, for the afternoon we had a movie and popcorn. As always we enjoyed having our families being with us and also having Scott Messer on Saturday. Thanks to everyone who has taken time out to come and visit with us; we encourage all of you to come again.
