Havana - One man is dead, one man is injured, and three men are in jail in what authorities believe was a premeditated robbery near Havana.
Law enforcement authorities received a call Monday night concerning gunfire on Mitchell Street.
Once they arrived on the scene, they found two men, both apparently having been shot twice.
According to Gadsden County Deputy Lt. Jim Corder, officers found Freddie Fluker Jr., 24, dead in the driver’s seat of a vehicle and his passenger, Norman Davis, 24, in the street with gunshot wounds.
Davis was taken to TMH with non-life threatening injuries.
Corder said the shooting was premeditated and that the two men were lured to the area that the assailants allegedly knew well.
It was determined during the investigation that as Fluker and Davis arrived at Mitchell Street the gunfire erupted. They were shot at through the passenger window.
Davis was wounded but managed to escape and run to a neighborhood home and call authorities.
All three men allegedly at the scene, Willie Byrd, Ricky Warren, and Gabriel Strong, are now in custody and charged with criminal homicide and attempted first degree murder with more charges pending, Corder said.
