Nursing Home News

by Suzanne Griffin

It is hard to believe that February is almost gone. The days just seem to fly by. We are hanging on and enjoying every day that we have.

Sunday morning we started our week off with Sunday School and members from South Mount Zion were with us Sunday afternoon.

Monday morning we had a good time playing Valentine bingo, and the afternoon was spent reminiscing about our past Valentines.

Tuesday morning we played bingo, and Tuesday afternoon we had spa day in preparation for our monthly birthday party.

Wednesday morning Colquitt First Baptist had our church service. On Wednesday afternoon we had our monthly birthday party. February was a big month for birthdays. We have 11 residents celebrating a birthday. Cook’s Union was the host church for our party. Residents enjoyed cake, ice cream, cheese curls and punch at the party. Everyone having a birthday received a gift.

Thursday morning we enjoyed another round of bingo. We were moving to the music for the afternoon, and we enjoyed our monthly sing Thursday evening.

Friday morning we enjoyed having Gayle Grimsley singing for us. We spent Friday afternoon sitting around the table enjoying a cup of coffee and some time visiting with one another.

Saturday we enjoyed having our families visiting as well as having Oak Grove M.B. Church sharing with us.

Thank you to everyone who had part in activities last week. We enjoyed having everyone who came to visit and hope you come back soon.
