VERA POPPELL WILLIAMS
Mrs. Vera Poppell Williams, age 77, of Colquitt died Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Miller Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday February 9, at 11:00 a.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Fletcher Sheffield officiating. Interment followed in Cooks Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and a member of Kimbrel’s Chapel Church of God.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley Williams and Ras Ronald (Debra) Williams, both of Colquitt; two daughters, Tami O’Bryant, Douglasville, and Brenda (Bill) Bush, Albany; four sisters, Agnes Bryant, Greensboro, NC, Sylvia Nicholson, Tallahassee, Mary Ann Hooks, Marietta, Carolyn Busby, Bradley Park, Ill; two brothers, Lee Poppell, Lake Wales, Fl., Fred LaDon Poppell, Marietta; six grandchildren, Stacy Williams, Jason Williams, Julie Williams, Trey Bush, Amanda Bush, Adam O’Bryant, Vanessa Trawick and Ashley Pope; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ras Han Williams.
Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
