Mrs. Lula Bell Anderson celebrated her 88th birthday on Sunday, January 30. Family and friends wished her well.

I had a chance to go to church last Sunday. My faithful friends, Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Crankfield, took me with them to White Pond where their union meeting was held. The services were good.

Gwen Lane will celebrate her birthday on February 6. She is the daughter of Mrs. Emma Miller.

Mr. Robert Gipson will celebrate his birthday February 28. We wish him many more.

Mrs. Rachel Crankfield had most of her children home. They came for the funeral of Mrs. Arrie Perkins. They left last Sunday for home. We all enjoyed seeing them even on an occasion such as a funeral.

A belated birthday wish goes to my number two granddaughter, Mrs. Georgia Burr. She celebrated her big day on January 29. May she have many more. Also belated wishes go to my great-granddaughter, Gwen Morgan, who had her day on January 24. I hope I don’t forget them next time.

Happy birthday to my great-granddaughter, Lakeshia Burr, on February 6.

To all who has loved ones buried at Rocky Cemetery, start now to make sure the cemetery fund is viable. It costs to get things done. So don’t be stingy. A small amount each month will help a lot. So if you have family that is buried there, please help me keep it serviced this year.
