Nursing Home News

by Suzanne Griffin

What an exciting time we had this past week. We enjoyed every thing from games, to movies, to birthday parties and many other activities.

We started our week off this past Sunday with Sunday school and had members from Union Baptist with us Sunday afternoon.

Monday morning we had game time, and the afternoon was spent reflecting on the things Martin Luther King Jr. accomplished during his life. Mount Zion Fellowship was with us Monday evening to share in song and encouraging words.

Tuesday and Thursday mornings we had fun playing bingo. Tuesday afternoon we enjoyed spa day having our nails painted so that we could be ready for the party on Wednesday.

Wednesday morning was church time with members from Colquitt First Baptist. We have five residents celebrating a birthday this month. These residents were honored at our monthly birthday party hosted by Mother’s Home Free Will Baptist Church.

Thursday afternoon we enjoyed movie time. Residents spent Thursday evening singing along with some good guitar playing. This is always a good time.

Friday morning we enjoyed having Gayle Grimsley sharing in song, and Friday afternoon was coffee shop time. Residents have a good time sitting around talking with each other, drinking coffee.

Thanks to everyone who had part in activities last week; everything you do for us is greatly appreciated. We look forward to seeing all of you again.
