JACK NICHOLSON

Mr. Jack Nicholson of Colquitt died Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 9, at 3:00 p.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Mounts officiating. Interment followed in Cook’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Robert Thompson, Stacy Thompson, Tracy Thompson, Jason Houston, Israel Houston, and Rocky Duncan Jr.

Mr. Nicholson’s career was in the packing, beverage and good industry serving as director of sales, USA; regional sales manager, Southeastern, USA; vice president, and vice president sales for several companies. He served on the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute International Trade Committee. He was elected to the Miller County Board of Education and served on the Miller County Chamber of Commerce Board. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Nicholson, Colquitt; two daughters, Gillian (Matt) Moody, Acworth, and Ainsley (Christoper) Achey, Macon; one son, Jack Duncan Nicholson, Lady Lake, FL; father, Jack Nicholson, Leeds, England; two grandchildren, Mary Mattalyn Moody and Hendley Alice Moody, Acworth; fatherin law and mother-in-law, Grover and Coot Duncan, Colquitt; three brothersin law, Michael Duncan, St. Simons, Rocky Duncan and Anthony Duncan, Colquitt; three sisters-inlaw, Rhonda Thompson, Dothan, AL, Connie (Terry) Taylor, Bainbridge, Melody (Gregg) Houston, Colquitt.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Nicholson of Leeds, England.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
