S.S. Emerald Lake launched at Emerald Lake RV Resort on SR 91 Emerald Lake RV Park made history last week when the largest house boat ever launched in Miller County became a permanent fixture in beautiful Emerald Lake.

Don Mathis is known to do things a little differently since the entrepreneur took over Emerald Lake RV Park not too long ago.

Mathis has made the RV Park into a prime spot for families, with great food and prime camping facilities. Guests can play miniature golf, splash around in a year-round heated pool, hike along trails, eat at their Red Line Food Express and enjoy the scheduled entertainment. Watch this newspaper for entertainers with the Elvis Show or Mr. Jones on occasion. Popular singing groups will perform from time to time. The resort is surrounded by palm and banana trees and has a quaint fishing pond.

As of Wednesday, December 30, that fishing pond now is the home of a large floating cabin that has one bedroom, a bath, a living/dining/kitchen area with a fireplace, and large TVs throughout. The large floating cabin is docked to the gazebo. The floating cabin has a large deck with a hot tub.

Emerald Lake RV Resort will be the exclusive dealer in this area for Harbor Homes.

The resort now has added a large dining area that will accommodate many more guests, parties and organizations to enjoy some of the best steaks, seafood and a daily buffet with great variety of vegetables, meats and a great salad bar.
