Ed Gibson graduates from Medical College
Ed Gibson
Edward Roy Gibson was among the graduates participating in the Medical College of Georgia School of Nursing’s fall ceremony.
Requirements for graduation from a nursing anesthesia program include completion of a minimum of 135 instructional hours in anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology; 90 hours pharmacology; 90 hours practice principles; and 45 hours chemistry, biochemistry and physics. Graduates have administered a minimum of 450 anesthetics in predetermined surgical categories using various anesthetic agents and techniques for general and regional anesthesia.
Ed graduated with a master of science in nursing in the field of nursing anesthesia.
The ceremonies were held December 11, 2009, in Augusta.
Ed will be employed as a nurse anesthetist at Trinity Hospital of Augusta.
He is the son of Marlin and Shelva Gibson and is married to Misty Gibson.
Ed is a graduate of Miller County High School in Colquitt.
